This place was sooo good! The service was very sweet and attentive but for me, it's all about the food. We started with the zucchini soup. It's puree type soup, which I love. We ordered the ribeye steak, seafood pasta (which was a special) and Hawaiian pizza (my husband's choice). The ribeye steak was thin (something I like) and perfectly cooked and the cheapest I've ever seen in Los Angeles. It came with a nice green salad and perfectly crispy garlic fries. ***** The seafood pasta was lovely. Had a ton of seafood. The pasta was not al dente (which is my preference) but still good. The portion size was huge! And again the price was amazing! The pizza was nice. The crust is a thicker type (I prefer the thin cracker type) but it was still good. We got tiramisu and affogato for dessert. I have been really disappointed in the tiramisu I've gotten lately but this was soooo good! And, of course, I loved my affogato. (But I love affogato. )
I had an amazing dining experience at Trattoria Daly! This Italian restaurant truly exceeded my expectations. The food was absolutely fantastic, with every dish bursting with authentic flavors and made with fresh, high-quality ingredients. The service was also outstanding--staff were attentive, friendly, and made sure we felt welcome throughout the meal. From start to finish, everything was perfect. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for an exceptional Italian meal. Definitely a well-deserved 5 stars!
Very Good service, the food is delicious familiar and cozy place they have a delicious seafood pasta
Delivery was quick and easy. The food was delicious. We are happy with the recommendations from the staff. We have always enjoyed the food and the cheesecake.
This Italian restaurant is a delightful hidden treasure! I ordered the shrimp scampi pasta, and it was simply outstanding. The shrimp were cooked to perfection--tender and bursting with flavor--while the pasta was perfectly al dente, tossed in a light, garlicky sauce with a touch of lemon that tied everything together beautifully. The dish felt vibrant and expertly prepared. What made the experience even better was the exceptional service. The staff were warm, attentive, and made sure everything was just right without ever hovering. It's rare to find a place that offers such a seamless combination of amazing food and genuine hospitality. If you're searching for a cozy spot with incredible Italian cuisine, this is the one to try!
Amazing food and service. Very welcoming vibe. Would highly recommend... Black risotto salmon was amazing. A++
This is my favorite Italian spot! A hidden gem in my community. Can't believe I didn't find it sooner !
Trattoria Daly was an unexpected find in Lincoln Heights. For a weekend evening, it was the only restaurant open at 8:00pm on its block. Street parking was fairly straightforward and free on Sunday evening - yay! I visited with a friend, and we had their calamari fritti, penne alla vodka, and capellini shrimp scampi. For starters, the staff were incredibly welcoming, and we were started with complimentary bread, possibly a light sourdough? I'm not one who enjoys sourdough, but this was lightly sour, soft on the inside, and lightly toasted on the outside. The calamari fritti was in fact the best we ever had. There were two crisp shrimps atop a generous portion of lightly battered and fried calamari - who would've thought fried food could taste healthy? The cocktail sauce was also good, and the light bed of fries were a good change of texture. Their penne alla vodka was fresh and cooked to perfection. It was the perfect texture of tomato sauce, neither too runny nor thick. It coated the chicken well, and while the chicken was perfectly cooked, did not mesh too well. The capellini shrimp scampi featured a lemon cream butter sauce. All too well is their al dente capellini, and I enjoyed their once again crisp shrimp. There was the perfect amount of lemony tang with cream sauce. I'm glad our server recommended this. The restaurant itself is quite cozy, not too spacious, but the staff's greetings and consistent check-ups made it all the more homey. Towards the end around closing, the chef even asked how the food was and if we'd like dessert. Unfortunately, we were stuffed, but we look forward to net time. Food, service, and experience were all amazing, and the staff's teamwork was impressive!
Trattoria Daly is a place the area needs. The sauces on all dishes are light and perfect. The staff has experience at high classes places and have brought their cooking skills to a GREAT LOCALS PLACE. I love the Penne Vodka and the Rigatoni. They have many specials all the time. You will not be disappointed. I will go back for the banana brulee dessert.
We stumbled here after deciding we didn't want to eat next door. Boy did we get lucky! Small, intimate setting, friendly servers and very very reasonably priced. Loved our plates of chicken and salmon. Awesome side veggies and the caprese salad was delightful. Coffee and a pistachio cake for dessert rounded out a perfect dining experience. Muah, lovely!
